May 2, 2007
I’ve had a bit of a relapse.
It started innocently, with half a baby blanket, for Afghans for Afghans’ initiative to help new mothers in Afghanistan. (HEY GUESS WHAT? THEY EXTENDED THE DEADLINE TO MAY 25! I think they need more blankets.) Amber is making the other half.
No big whoop. This is not a slippery slope. This….
Now that’s a big ‘un. I think I started with 432 stitches. I can’t remember anymore. I also can’t remember why I started it. I found it in the bottom of a bag of Tahki Cotton Classic remnants when I was hunting yarn for those 4 miters up there in the sink. Those are for a group-knit blanket I’ve been asked to contribute to.
Someday, there will be a cure.
Meanwhile this one plods along, on US 3s. I think I’m going to need that deadline extension. It’s not too late to decide to double the yarn, but I’m stubborn. This is a really nice fabric and I think it will be warm. It’s just kind of …. stitchy.
