Home Sweet Home

I just arrived back from a bibulous, gluttonous, trufulous — in other words, wonderful — trip to Piemonte. You had your chance to go with me, you turned me down (for some petty reason–what was it again, Maternal Duty?), and now you will have to put up with me blathering away about it for a solid six months or so.
The kiddies are arriving home from school any minute, and I expect there will be quite The Scene in our living room. To tide you over until I can give you a full debriefing on the delights of BaroloLand, I have selected, from the 265 photos on the KayCam, the one shot that says it alll:
P.S. In the 15 minutes of shopping time allotted to me in Paris, I did get to Le Bon March to snag you your missing red ball to finish that La Droguerie Echarpe you are soldiering through. It was a minor miracle that they still had one of those kits hanging around (they are So Last Spring)– which I can only explain by reference to Mason-Dixon Knitting’s impeccable yarn karma, helped along, perhaps, by the fact that I had so recently been to visit the Shroud of Turin.
