  • That is a beautiful blanket. Wow.
    The genre is infinitely fascinating.

  • That was a fab trip around Rav.
Not usually One to do as One is told.
    Quite the opposite but…
    Cathy’s blanket faved!

  • Faved, as instructed.
That is indeed lovely. The little teeny bits of orange are key, I think!

  • Ditto!

  • Very very cool

  • Cathy comes to my knitting group when she has time, and she is just as awesome as the blanket.

  • Cathy’s blanket reminds me of a Mondrian painting. It’s very cool! My arm aches a little from thinking about making something that big with yarn that small!

  • Don’t know how I missed this last night when I posted the comment re: Paul/George and Not plain Jane–however I luuuvv this blanket! So inspiring, and I need to feel that way just now–woke up to a leaking roof….UGH!

  • boohoo, link is not working to Cathy’s blanket. I will try again later.

  • That’s no blanket — that’s art.

  • It is always interesting exactly what you can do with a log cabin design. Maybe someday I will finish my sock yarn log cabin blanket or more likely (my color choices were horribly suspect) frog the entire thing and start over.

  • Cathy’s blanket is outstanding — more than happy to fave it. What a great source of inspiration.

  • Now it’s so fun to go to my “friends’ activity” page on Ravelry see this blanket all over it!

  • I love to see all the variations of the Log Cabin; it’s my all-time favorite quilting and afghan knitting pattern. Cathy got a fave from me too!

  • Fantastic color combo. Tres inspiring.

  • Dear Kay and Everyone who commented on my blanket,
Thank you so much for your kind words and compliments. I am speechless. I carried those squares with me everywhere for much longer than necessary. I was trying to talk myself out of knitting another one, but after all this attention, I think I’ll start another! My day, week, year has been made.

  • So lovely! I’m always inspired by the variety and beauty that comes from log cabin fun.

  • i am happy to join the praise gang

  • I must say that you and Cathy both improved on the original idea. Is that quilting blasphemy?
