  • Oh, it looks like Olive is in a Good Place! A Happy Happy to you, too.

  • And the lamb will lay down with the lion. . . .

  • They look related! Hope you and yours have a Merry Happy, too!

  • What a great picture! Happiness to all during the holidays.

  • It looks like Olive has become an appendage of some kind – and extra limb. It also appears she’s worn out – good news when it comes to dogs and kids.
    Happy Howling Days!

  • Merry, merry Darling !

  • That is a wonderful picture of peace and calm – but what’s it like when they are all awake!!
Enjoy the seasonal festivities and may Olive have many picturesque moments like this for you in 2010…

  • Glad you made it to Ohaha (as the young ones once called it). Looks like we are going to cancel our trip to Nebraska. Car + ice + snow = Joyce stays in Minnesota.

  • Both of the doggies look very happy. It’s doggie bliss!
So, are you coming over to String of Purls before or after the big storm hits us? 😀

  • Awwww, Olive is Kimba’s baby!

  • Peace on earth and in the doggie kingdom. Lovely photo. No need to worry about Olive! Happy holidays to you and your family.

  • Olive has excellent Little Dog Survival Skills. She’ll be fine.

  • That is really just the cutest thing. Also, I;ll have you know that you have started a clothing trend for animals…based on Olive’s wardrobe, my daughter Lily has me knitting coats for the cats…

  • that is so stinkin cute!

  • Enjoy your holiday! Merry merry indeed!

  • We’ll have three dogs and three kids at Christmas day festivities this year. It’s worrying that my dog is probably the best-behaved of the lot.
    Chaos comes again…
    Happy everything, everybody!

  • Just sayin, I’ll totally dogsit, if you think Olive can take the Bronx Flava.
I promise to even *ahem, consider to* give Olive back to you.

  • My ovaries just exploded. Merry merry!!!!!!

  • kay … careful … olive is going to want a big dog to play with … as in … can i have a big brother … happy holidays … gumby and her mama!

  • looks like “the peaceable kingdom” : …”and the leopard shall lie down with the kid”
    very very cute!

  • merry, happy, peace, love, joy, prosperity, health, charity, good vibes, but mostly hugs to you one and all!

  • Oh. My. Gosh. Too prescious! The very embodiment of the phrase “fast asleep”. (I’m with Kate: “so stinkin cute”.)
And thanks, too, to Elizabeth for the lovely poem.
    Merry, merry to all,
And to all a “nite, nite”.

  • Have postponed our trip to Omaha scheduled for tomorrow…Enjoy the Big O! God Jul!

  • Awww, I LOVE it! 🙂 Merry Merry to you, your family and your dear Olive. 🙂

  • Looks like all they need are some Christmas bones to appear under the tree — Santa Paws never forgets after all.

  • Merry, merry – I hope you’ve taken the Pimms with you x x x x

  • Happy Holidays to you, please travel safely!

  • It looks like Olive will at least be getting high marks in “Naps well with others.” Merry, merry, yourself.

  • So precious!
And my blood pressure went down, and my zen index went way up, just looking at the picture. So thank you for the perfect present. May you be showered in joy this season. 🙂

  • Olive looks like she went to Heaven. Have wonderful holidays, Ann and Kay! XO

  • Death of cute!!! I love how little Olive is tucked into the nice warm belly spot of big Kimba.
Kay, if you don’t have it already, check out the new Sys Fredens book “Dress Your Dog.” It has lots of really cute sweater and accessory patterns geared toward the “fun size” dog. Some are shown on a papillon and a chihuahua, so I’m certain they will be Olive-sized (others are shown on a westie, a corgie, and a pair of scotties, but they are knittable in “fun size” too).

  • You should submit this to cuteoverload.com =)

  • Merry, happy. And, the recently dogless are always happy to dog sit (even though she looks quite content!)

  • Olive is part terrier, therefore she is tough enough to handle The Big Dogs. She will probably be bossing them around and stealing their food by Boxing Day.

  • Clearly Olive needs a Big Dog Companion. You won’t let her down, will you?

  • I need to show this to my girls (or maybe not – they’ll just bug me to get another dog!).
Merry merry to you and everyone else!

  • I must be five, because my first reaction was to point at the monitor and squeal “doggies!”
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  • That is most definitely the picture of “stinkin’ cute” — I didn’t even see Olive when I first looked at the picture!
Merry, Merry to you and yours, too, Kay!

  • How very precious. A very Happy Holiday to you and your families. I thank both of you for each and every blog entry this past year. You guys have no idea how many smiles, tears and feelings of well being you bring to us!

  • Olive will be fine as judged by the picture. But then the smaller they are the more they rule the roost. (Ask me how I know.) Hope you have a great holiday in Omaha and don’t get snowed in by the predicted storm.

  • I love it when that happens! Happy Holidays!

  • Aw, that’s adorable. Merry Christmas, Kay!

  • Happy Holidays to you and your families!

  • I am in love with Olive, and I am not usually a small-dog person. I imagine you’ve answered this a million times, but do you know what breed(s) she is? And happy holidays and thank you for your and Ann’s good will and humor and beautiful knitting the past year. I always know that I’ll find something to lift the spirits (hmm, not that kind)when I check on your blog.

  • Peace on Earth. Or, at least on the couch. My best to you and your families in the new year.

  • Merry, Merry and Happy Happy Healthy New Year and thanks for all the love and beauty and richness, both of you good good women. Blessings for you, for your families, for us all.

  • that is the sweetest…

  • I would like to apologize on behalf of the Nebraska Knit and Crochet Guild for Snowpocalypse 2: Electric Boogaloo. We still had the snow from the first one when it started. And it is snowing again right now.
