  • If I wasn’t thousands of miles away in Ontario, I would so be at the library with you all.

  • Hey! My mom’s maiden name is Hazard. She doesn’t sing C&W but she played a mean trombone in high school! Nice belt buckle. Buh-ling!

  • I love Merle’s site – and now I’m going to have “You ain’t woman enough …” in my head all day.

  • Ann at ROBERT’S?? What’s next? At the mike at Tootsie’s? Please, let us all know so we can get likkered up and see y’all!

  • Oh Merle…what an American icon. In your honor I’ll pull out the last Merle CD and listen today;-)

  • Anna May, you must be so proud!

  • He’s like a modern day Tom Lehrer with a funnier name!

  • The Crooner’s pappy (& mammy) would really be so very proud of him and I just can’t stop thinking that! It’s not hard to believe your hubbo is the son of the man who once called Belle Meade the “hotbed of social rest.”

  • I was at Robert’s the other night too! Fun times. If I’d known knitting at the library was today I would have convinced The Husband to push back our flight home to Austin until tomorrow. Oh well, next time.

  • Hmm. Country songs about financial stuff. Interesting.
I could be related – my maiden name was Hazard.

  • Hot dang, Miss Annie, even the local blogs are picking up on Merle’s action. That boy’s really got himself somethin’ big a happenin’.

  • Love Merle’s website!

  • I found you by accident (a link with someone else’s blog) and now I’m hooked on mitres! What’s one to do? I even bought your book. You two crack me up. Thanks for the irreverant knitting….it’s much more fun than my Rowan sweaters (as beautiful as they are).
