  • Cute. Those are some seriously awesome flakes, too. But maybe it’s creepy cute, goth cute, you know? I can see an “Emily in the Snow” thing for this…

  • I second that, those snowflakes are amazing! HUGE! Either that or you have a great zoom to get a shot of the crystals like that. Great knitter and photographer. Good for you.

  • That is unbelievably beautiful. So pretty it doesn’t seem real. How luck for all of us that you were making coffee at just the right time – AND you had your camera handy.

  • i imagine you, wandering around the house in the morning, once the boys are all away wherevertheyare, camera in hand, looking for photo opportunities.

  • awesome photo. Those are some durn big snowflakes.
We had a dusting this morning but it was the really fine sting-y snow. I want your snow!!

  • mmmm, snow & coffee sounds pretty lovely.

  • Amazing pictures! What a lovely morning.

  • mother nature in all her glory….exquisite, ann!

  • Love love love the snowflakes~ what celestial artwork. Almost doesn’t look real. Also love the monkey playing w/the kitten. I never know what treats await me when I go to your site. Just wanted to tell both of you that your book is being featured at my sister’s store. Christi (Kay introduced and cultivated Christi’s love for Jackson Browne) is a manager at a Border’s in Phoenix and wanted to let you know she proudly tells everyone that she KNOWS Kay! Your book is prominently featured there. It’s fun to know a famous person and to brag, “I knew her when…” Thanks for posting pix of Carrie and Joseph also. They are precious. xoxox

  • Thank you for taking that moment to snap and share. It is beautiful.

  • Oh dear lordie, that is the cutest and yet most frightening thing ever. (I am terrified of spiders).
How can something be super cute and scary at the same time? Someone needs to ‘splain this to me!

  • Gorgeous!
And the “Snowflakes on Cobwebs” sounds like a great name for a lace shawl pattern…..

  • Just FYI, I think Level is my favorite Raconteurs song

  • I’ve seen flakes like that once, I think. Unbelievably gorgeous on that web!

  • Wow, aren’t we lucky to live in the digital age–great shot!

  • Those photos are amazing! It’s so rare that you see snowflakes that actually look like their representations, rather than just little balls. You must have a really good camera or lens for it.

  • What about schnitzel with poodles?

  • Those may be the two most gorgeous photos I’ve seen this winter, hands down.

  • Now THAT is the coolest thing I’ve seen! excellent shot!

  • I don’t think I’ve ever seen a snowflake that looks like, well, a snowflake. The pictures are amazing.

  • Beautiful photos. An incredible chance moment, an image you remember for the rest of your life. Thank you for taking the picture and sharing it.

  • Wonderful photos! You may enjoy reading the children’s book called Snowflake Bentley by Jacqueline Briggs Martin if you haven’t read it.

  • I had no idea that snowflakes actually looked like …snowflakes! Like what you see drawn on Christmas wrapping. Wow. That is really amazing to this Central (CA) Valley girl.

  • How absolutely *beautiful*. Thank you for sharing it! 🙂

  • Beautiful!

  • I just thought snowflakes were just little blobs of cold. Who knew they actually had patterns?
    Thanks for sharing.

  • Our snowflakes are too mushy to rest gently on a cobweb. I’m jealous.

  • My camera will totally not do that. . . What great pictures!

  • *swoon*
I’ll have happy dreams tonight after seeing those photos. How lovely!

  • I’ve never seen anything like that, that’s amazing.

  • Absolutely beautiful! And now I have to know what kind of camera you were using to get such a good close shot.

  • Wow! awesome pictures! And if you don’t want that snow, I’d happily take it here in MD!

  • OK, that’s really a very cute decoration, right? I cannot believe that that is an actual snowflake!!

  • Amazing photos Ann – they look too perfect to be real ! Are you sure you don’t live in Hollywood ? C’mon, these are movie snowflakes aren’t they ??:0)

  • That’s a gorgeous picture!! What kind of camera do you have that it can focus that small?

  • WOW! What an awesome picture! 🙂

  • That the first good use of a spider web that I’ve ever seen; I really, really don’t like spiders!

  • Ok, two things.
    1. You must see this website about snowflakes: http://www.snowcrystals.com.
    2. I have that photo of the monkey playing with the kitten on my work laptop’s wallpaper. I have looked at it every day since I saw it on CuteOverload in April and it still makes me smile.
    ~sigh~ So. Cute.
