Spring is the season for the new. Buds, sprouts, awakening, knocking the dust off.
Well, it is with joy that we bring you a big pile of newness: new batches of yarn, new things to think about, and new patterns to make.
Today we introduce MDK Field Guide No. 3: Wild Yarns, as well as the yarn kits that go along with the three designs featured inside.
In creating this little book, the goal was to go for the most vibrant color we could find, to figure out designs that let the most spectacular yarns shine. We’re eager to start making these beautiful patterns from these designers we admire, and we hope you’ll join us for what will be a mighty cavalcade of color.
You’ll find yarns and Field Guide No. 3 over in the Shop.
Here’s a peek at what’s new in this Field Guide.
Project No. 1: Colorwash Shawl by Kirsten Kapur.
The yarn: Lichen and Lace Superwash Merino Fingering.
Project No. 2: Easel Sweater by Sue McCain.
The yarn: Mohonk by Jill Draper Makes Stuff.
Project No. 3: Leif Cowl by Dianna Walla.
The yarn: Dyed in the Wool by Spincycle Yarns.
Much to discuss about all this. We’re so happy finally to let the wild yarns loose. They’re not like anything else we’ve seen, and we hope you’ll have a ton of fun with them. Thanks so much for being a part of all this!
