Hello, MDK readers!
It’s the season. Coworkers are gathering around the bubbler, all hepped up about their “brackets” and “seeds,” blabbing on about “Gonzaga” and “red-hot Southern Methodist.”
Do you feel left out?
Do you find yourself wishing these three weeks of obligatory (in the U.S.) March Madness had a little less of the fast-paced basketball and a little more of the slow-paced knitting and purling? A little less edge-of-your-seat, a little more middle-of-the-sofa?
We thought so. So we’re cooking up a bracket just for knitters.
It will be all in good fun. This competition is going to be more Westminster Dog Show than NCAA Tournament.
On our bracket, the chihuahua will have just as good a shot at the Final Four as the Newfoundland.
All dogs are good dogs, and in our tournament, all knitting is good knitting.
Watch this space. Bracket will be revealed on Wednesday, March 15, and voting will begin the same day.
Yes: voting. Unlike the basketball tournament, where you have no control over the outcome, here you get to actually do something.
