  • Not to be rude or anything, but, you’re nephew is SO ATTRACTIVE!!

  • James! Jamesy! Mary Neal! Den-IM! Den-IM! Den-IM! Love IT! Love IT! Love IT!
(MN: He really does need one in Denim.)
    xooxox Kay

  • I was just there and saw a design by “Mary Neal” and wondered if it could be “THE” Mary Neal, and then I come here and find out that lo, it is!

  • I love that long ribbing part – it changes everything Mary Neal – I’m thinking about a preschool size right now in denim! wonderful!

  • That cotton Mary Neal used for the Jamesy is pretty fabulous, too. Almost denim fabulous.

  • Hmmm. Very nice. Kay, should I do one for Neil?

  • Nice nephew. Nice pattern. Sounds like a good woman to have around as a sister-in-law.

  • I loved Jamesy! Your nephew is pretty cute, too!

  • Yay! That sweater is definitely hot, too. Not that I’m calling your nephew hot… or maybe I am…. 😉 Either way, its a great sweater. And congrats on being in the features!

  • Love it, Mary Neal, and the photos are wonderful! (Isn’t Chicago excellent for rust as backdrop?) I think the sweater would look great in Cascade 220–even one of the non-lint-like colors.

  • This was one of my favorite patterns…before I even knew it was related to you Ann! How fun that your sister-in-law is a knitter too. I sure love to see another family of knitters out there. I love being able to share all things knitterly with my family!
p.s…I’m so excited! I won a copy of your book over at Cara’s blog! Yippee!

  • That is my favorite pattern from this Knitty issue.

  • You’re so right–Jamesey has all the good stuff about Guernseys, but looks uncluttered and un-bulky. A beautiful design and a cute, cute, cute nephew. Mary should be proud.

  • Wow, what a great sweater. And, having lived in Chicago, I can definitely relate to the dryer lint fascination.

  • A surefire eventual knit for my boy!
And as for road trip songs, hows about “You Gotta Fight For Your Right To Party” by the Beasty Boys and alternatively “No Sleep Til Brooklyn”.

  • Oooo… I love Knitty, thanks for the headsup!

  • you said “Fra Angelico? Famous fresco painter? ” Well Heck – I thought it was Booze of some kind.
And like Libby I thought “NO I don’t wanna go” when I saw the picture of Ann with the Moses basket — Great minds think alike I guess.

  • I really, really, really need to learn to knit.
Jamesy is a FABULOUS sweater – and the guy in it is pretty cute too! 🙂

  • Totally unrelated to knitting, but is James single?
    Not sayin’, just sayin’.

  • Hey, thanks for the link! I wondered why I was getting so much traffic from your site, and then I discovered your little blurb on disdressed. Glad you made the trip to NYC, and I hope you’re recovered from all the excitement. Cheers!
