I’m amazed at what my fellow New Yorker Kristy Glass has been up to. Her YouTube channel, Kristy Glass Knits, is an incredible trove of talks with the People of Knitting and Crochet, plus how-tos, knitting news, and a video diary of her own knitting. Kristy releases three videos a week, mostly full interviews, plus some other fun surprises of shorter content. It’s a great way to catch up on the wide world of knitting. Kristy has a warm, snappy style, and her enthusiasm and curiosity about all things needlecraft is contagious.
Speaking of short, fun surprises, Kristy just released a short video tour of MDK Field Guide No. 3: Wild Yarns. We knew this was coming—we sent her the samples, after all—but it’s a hoot to see Kristy all wrapped up in Wild Yarns.
While we’re visiting Kristy’s YouTube channel (poke around, there’s a lot of goodness), let’s look at Kristy’s recent interview with Kirsten Kapur, beloved designer of the Colorwash Scarf that is the star of our knitalong at the moment:
And finally, just for fun, one of New York’s most skilled and also bubbliest knitters, Shameka Clarke, who was just a bit excited about her then-impending trip to the Edinburgh Yarn Festival.
That should hold you for the morning, video-wise. Enjoy!
