I’ve got a treat for you.
Stephen Doyle is an ex-officio member of my sewing circle; as a member’s husband, he is both pro-sewing and pro-circle. Stephen makes marvelous, meticulous art using the actual printed words from books. Since he is a graphic designer by profession, his hypertext artworks sometimes illustrate articles in magazines and newspapers, or make their way onto subway platforms in posters for New York’s School of Visual Arts.
In the TED talk above, Stephen gives insight into his process, shares images of his astonishing work, and sings a little. Enjoy, and be inspired.
