  • Yay Cousin Dan! I live in Bay Ridge (below Sunset Park) and I was hanging out around the 5 K/3 mile mark around 10am. There are lots of people there cheering everyone one, calling out the names written on their shirts. I saw a lot of Team Fox runners. The whole block at the 5K mark is a drink stop and volunteers in ING raincoats are handing out gatorade and water cups. The mood is very festive and folks are all smiles. There are bands every half mile or so playing peppy music. It’s really cool. I look forward to it every year.

  • Go, Cousin Dan! Go, Team Fox!

  • Hurray Cousin Dan! I’m in Sunset Park, I was watching the marathon out my window. I wonder if I saw him go by!

  • The Great Morris lives with me, actually.
    But that’s okay.
Dan must be almost finished! Way to go!

  • yay Cousin Dan!
    You are indeed a superhero!

  • Hey, I just read about Morrisania. It was the family estate of Gouveneur Morris, the “rake” who wrote our Constitution. You know, all together now…We the People…
    Congrats Dan!!

  • Congratulations, Dan. You are a hero !!!

  • Yay Dan! I have a friend who has run for team fox for years. Great cause.

  • Thank you Cousin Dan! I knit partly because it’s therapy for the effect of Parkinsons on my hands — keeps the small-motor-skills thing going. It’s a pleasure to donate to Fox (again) but with a knitting connection this time. Go team!

  • Wow. That’s a pretty good marathon time! If I ran the marathon it would take me about 5 hours.

  • I am mighty impressed with your Cousin Dan. Way to go!

  • Was a wonderful fun entry to read, and in admiration for a great effort and for a good cause I was pleased to be able to make a small donation. Today received a thankyou email from Dan – a very thoughtful, pleasant surprise.
