A big hidy ho out to Becky, the twelve-armed dynamo who keeps Mason-Dixon Knitting running down the railroad tracks of cyberspace. She just fixed a glitch in our Comments window so that now we’ll remember everybody’s name and email info when they stop by to chat. Becky’s kindhearted hosting of knitting weblogs, Pretty Posies, has made our entry into weblogworld painless and fun. Like childbirth except not very much like it at all.
And it has been nice getting to know our fellow Pretty Posies dormmates (some of whom are flat showing off in the CSS department): Rene, Carrie, Louknits, Duff.
Great NYC blackout stories from Lis and Duff.
Lovely wedding story in the Times today. I’m a complete sucker for this stuff.
I’ve been looking at the new Rowan, thinking about styling. I love all the juxtapositions that Rowan uses in its photo shoots–the miniskirts with cable sweaters, the stripes and patterns and below it all, the kilts. I will say that the complete lack of pants in the All Seasons Cotton book adds that note of mystery: did she just have them on? Does no one wear pants on the tropic island of Rowana? Could she be allergic?
Enjoy your coffee. I’m off for another English muffy with the runny blueberry jam we made in June.
