Pins and needles over here, just pins and needles while I’m waiting for the Diminishing Rib Cardigan to finish drying. Will the mighty redemptive power of blocking redeem this foldy curly neckline?
Remember, this is what it looked like before I soaked, pinned, and quietly begged the neckline to behave:
I think this neckline thing is going to work out OK, now that I’ve enlisted
the 18-pound Portable Blocker.
Please note that the 18-pound Portable Blocker cannot get to the blocking pins to yank them out. The Portable Blocker doesn’t really understand object permanence. Thank you to my vet pals who alerted me to pin-related cat dangers.
The I-cord edge looks nice at the moment, all pinned in place.
I keep looking at the 440 Diminishing Rib Cardigans over at Ravelry, and it’s like a psychic view into the future of this cardigan. I seeeeee . . . buttons, pins, zippers, hooks, more buttons. Fasteners. There will be fasteners in its future . . . Stockinette wants to roll, it really does . . .
