  • I don’t know what that is, but it’s absolutely gorgeous! Are those dishtowels in the photo, or pillow cases?

  • I have the same question as Lisa! They look like vintage dish towels…but yet they look like vintage pillow cases…?

  • Ohhh pretty lace edging. What’s the yarn?

  • I love the red scarf – I think that bias knits have to be my favorite way to do scarves!

  • Oooooooo, MamaJama, what IS that fabulous fabric? It looks so delicious, I want to put it in my MOUTH.
I will also say that I hope the blue egding is for the white and that there will be red edging for the blue. OR! OH! Red and White Bakery String! Oh, oh, oh!! I come up with so many ideas for what other people should do. Feel free to ignore me and soldier on and get us a picture of that action!

  • I think they look like pillow cases. Could those be lacy edgings for them?

  • Oohh..that’s pretty..is that going on that pillowcase? Cause that would be really really “gawgeous”..Puh-lease put it on a pillowcase!

  • Love the scarf!

  • love the scarf! i’m curious to hear more about it…how many colors, if the yarns are different fibers, etc. also interested in your mixed-media project! looks like an excellent adventure…

  • Although they look like vintage pillowcases, I’m hoping that the blue will be a lace trimmed skirt for Carrie, with a blouse made out of the white…..
And if it is NOT, then you should make her one, next!

  • Definitely a scarf fit for a bishop.

  • Is there a prize with guessing what the project is? Looks like pillowcases with lace trim… what a beautiful idea!

  • I’m with the pillowcase crowd thinking both the lace and case itself are linen. Towels would be nice too! Absolutely beautiful whatever they are going to be. You are SO inspiring! Scarf is really nice as well.

  • I’m going with either a lace edging for a pillowcase or edging on a girl’s dress or skirt.
The scarf is totally unisex and looks very warm.

  • The lace edging is gorgeous! What pattern is it?

  • That scarf is so beautiful!

  • Love the scarf — it looks fabulous. Would I be a complete idiot if I asked for a rough guideline to recreating it? Me want to make one…NOW!
    Long time fan, first-time poster.

  • I am sending you all kinds of good Knitting Mojo your way!!!!

  • I wasn’t thinking bishop, but I was thinking Advent. Is it wrong for a clergyperson to covet a scarf going to charity? 😉

  • You’re edging pillowcases.
You have turned into my Aunt Mary.
This means you will be raising chickens soon.
But your house will smell good, and everyone will fondly relate tales of your eccentricity.
    Just sayin’.

  • I think that you are making a lace edged apron. The blue lace is very pretty

  • A composite scarf! Very nice:)

  • me thinks the cotton fabric will work it’s way into a camisole-type top with knit edging for carrie….or some sort of a sundress with decoration??? lovely shades!

  • I’m guessing a bed skirt – not sheets.
My roommate in college had a bed skirt that her grandmother had edged in crochetted lace. I covetted them pretty hard. I tried to convince my mother to stop making doilies in favor of 6 yards of lace but she wasn’t having it.

  • Love those colours! My guess is a Moses basket liner. I’ve been drooling over something similar in I think, the Knit Cafe book. I’m eagerly awaiting grandchild number three any day but there just isn’t enough knitting days in the month !
